This amazing town has been my home for 16 years. During that time, my husband and I started and grew our family. I am now a mother to three rambunctious boys, which brings immense joy into my life, as well as plenty of opportunities for growth.

I am running for the Monroe School Board District 3 position, because I want to represent the parents in our community and be a voice for the children in our district. I believe parents should feel heard and have a direct input in their child's education. I want our educators to feel supported and have access to the training and resources they need, equipping them to meet each child where they are at, and give them the tools and support they need to succeed.

I have learned, through many classroom volunteer hours and as a mom, that every child is unique and “one size does not fit all.” Our schools should always strive to support and celebrate the diverse, unique gifts of our children, helping them not only succeed, but flourish during their education in the Monroe School District and beyond.

The rate of success is always higher when individuals come together, when we invest in the same goals and support one another. This past year has been difficult for everyone, but one of the populations that has suffered the most is our children. Now more than ever, our children need us to come together on their behalf. This is the educational environment I want to help create, a place our educators feel supported, our children feel valued and where we can collaborate developing solutions to the issues facing our children today.

Join me. Let’s put our minds and experiences together and develop creative solution to provide our children the best education available in the most supportive and enriching learning environment possible. The sky is the limit, and the future is theirs.
